Once, the Turkish Ottoman Empire expanded over three continents and 72 different nations. The capital Istanbul became the melting pot of all those different tastes and the Turkish cuisine embraced all the geograpy reaching from the Balkan peninsula to the Arabic deserts and from North African shores up to the cold Black See mountains. We will prepare a menu, which will cover many aspects of this rich culture and learn many details, like different cooking techniques in different regions and how to use our spices.
Lets get together for a half day course, where we will explore this culture, while we smell the spices, buy the vegetables, taste the sweet delights and prepare five dishes from various faces of one of the richest cuisines of the world.
After we prepare our dishes we will sit and enjoy them, because what is better than meeting fellow travellers and sharing your food and your travel stories with them?
